Matheson Whiteley is an architectural practice based in London, established in 2012 and led by Donald Matheson and Jason Whiteley. The practice have an on-going interest in the contemporary re-use of existing buildings and infrastructure and propose a model for development that is nei-ther explicitly modern nor overly beholden to the past, but rather coaxes undervalued spaces back into public life while retaining a memory of their previous functions. Completed projects include art galleries in London and New York, the conversion of disused commercial space in East London into artist studios, a studio for the graphic agency North and an award winning workspace project within Sea Containers on London’s South Bank.
